Welcome to “We the Committee.”  The Committee is made up of four main members that will be providing you with a variety of Twitch programs, YouTube videos, and blog posts on geek culture. To find out more about the individual members of the Committee and their specialties, please check out our About Us page. The main show “The Committee Meeting” will be on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, where a majority of the Committee members will get together to discuss their feelings on pop culture, geeky news, videogames, etc..

Every Friday on twitch.tv/wethecommittee join us for “Friday Night Cannon Fodder” with DadtheGeek.  He will be playing various first person shooter games with other Committee members and friends as he discovers the horrors of matchmaking, and his own mediocrity when compared to other gamers.

On every third Thursday, join Amanda from Essence of M&D as we create a geeky craft based on her blog post from this month.

Throughout the month we will post articles written by different Committee members covering a wide variety of topics. Each Committee member here at “We the Committee” has the freedom to write about any topic they would like. We will also be featuring guest posts from time to time based on special requests from our community, and connections passing through the Orlando area.

We hope you enjoy our site. Be sure to like, follow, and subscribe on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Also checkout our live broadcasts on twitch.tv/wethecommittee.

About DadtheGeek

My name is Trey. I work as a Middle School Math and Theology teacher. I have my degree in Humanities from the University of South Florida. My family and I make our home in Central Florida. I’m into all kinds of geeky/nerdy things, mainly superheroes, comics, video games, tabletop/board games. The second half of this thing is that I am a very proud father of a four year old daughter (Claire) who is very into Disney Princesses and Mickey and Minnie Mouse and one year old Simon. Claire also enjoys helping around the house and with my geek hobbies. My wife Amanda and I also have 2 canine children, Vincent and Evie, who round out the house and keep things interesting.
